DIY-Library Term & Conditions

1.     Introduction
By borrowing tools from the High Mead Farm Community Tool Library, you agree tocomply with the following terms and conditions. These terms and conditions
govern the borrowing and return of tools and are applicable to all borrowers.

2.     Eligibility

2.1 To be eligible to borrow tools from the library, you must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent if you are under
the age of 18.

3.     Tool Borrowing

3.1 The tools available for borrowing from the library are intended for
community use and should only be used for their intended purposes.

3.2 Tools may be borrowed for a maximum period of 7 days.

3.3 Borrowers are responsible for inspecting the tools prior to borrowing them
and reporting any existing damage or defects to the library staff.

4.     Borrower Responsibilities

4.1 Borrowers are responsible for the proper and safe use of the borrowed
tools.

4.2 Tools should not be loaned, rented, or sublet to others.

4.3 Borrowers are responsible for returning the tools in the same condition as
they were borrowed, except for normal wear and tear.

4.4 Borrowers must clean the tools after use and return them in a clean and
usable condition.

4.5 Borrowers should promptly report any damage or loss of tools to the library
staff.

5.     Late Returns and Donations

5.1 Borrowers should return the tools by the agreed return date.

5.2 If the tools are not returned by the agreed return date, the borrower will
be expected to make a late return donation of £1 per day until the tools are
returned.

5.3 The late return donation will go towards supporting the maintenance and
acquisition of tools for the library.

5.4 The library reserves the right to refuse further tool borrowing privileges
to borrowers with excessive late returns or unpaid late return donations.

6.     Lossor Damage

6.1 Borrowers are responsible for the safekeeping of the tools while in their
possession.

6.2 If a tool is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond normal wear and tear while in
the borrower’s possession, the borrower will be responsible for the cost of
repair or replacement.

6.3 The borrower agrees to pay the library the current market value of the tool
if it is lost or damaged beyond repair.

7.     Liabilit and Indemnification

7.1 Borrowers agree to indemnify and hold harmless the DIY- Library, its staff, volunteers, and affiliates from any claims, damages,
liabilities, or costs arising from the use of borrowed tools.

7.2 The library does not assume any liability for injuries, accidents, or
damages that may occur as a result of the use of borrowed tools.

8.     Modification of Terms

8.1 the DIY-Library
reserves the right to modify or amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.

By borrowing tools from the DIY-Library, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
